Get quotes from heat pump installers
Boiler Upgrade Schemes is an independent guide, not an installer. Under the scheme only an MCS-certified installer can apply for your grant, so the next step is quotes. Tell us about the property and we pass your enquiry to installers covering your area; you deal with them directly, compare, and decide.
- No charge to you for the introduction.
- No obligation to accept any quote — and confirming consent to Ofgem later does not bind you to an installer either.
- Check any installer yourself before you sign: our MCS checklist shows how.
What happens after you send it
- Installers contact you. Independent heat pump installers covering your postcode get in touch by email, or by phone only if you gave a number.
- A survey. A proper quote needs a visit and a room-by-room heat-loss calculation — be wary of a price given without one.
- A written quote showing the full price, the Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant deducted (£7,500, or £9,000 if you are off the gas grid on oil or LPG and the installer applies by 31 March 2027) and the balance you would pay.
- If you choose one, the installer applies to Ofgem and you confirm consent by email within 14 days. The voucher then lasts 3 months (6 for ground source).
Useful to have ready
None of this is needed to send the form, but installers will ask: what heats the property now (gas, oil, LPG or electric), whether there is a mains gas connection or a capped meter, the age of the boiler, roughly how many bedrooms and radiators, whether you have a hot-water cylinder, and the EPC reference if the property has one. Recent fuel bills help an installer judge heat demand and, for the £9,000 band, evidence that the property is off-gas.
Who receives your enquiry
Independent heat pump installers that cover your postcode. Only an MCS-certified installer can apply for your grant, so check each one on the MCS register before you sign. We are not an installer ourselves and we do not choose the installation for you. We share your details only for this enquiry, and only with the installers we pass it to; the privacy notice explains exactly what happens to them and how to ask for them to be deleted. Installers may pay the publisher for the introduction — it never changes what we publish.
Not sure you qualify? The eligibility checker gives an indicative answer in thirty seconds, with no details asked.
