Contact Boiler Upgrade Schemes
The quickest way to reach us is the form on this page. If you want heat pump quotes, say what heats the property now and give your postcode; we pass your enquiry to independent heat pump installers covering your area, who contact you directly. Check any installer on the MCS register before you sign.
What we can help with
- Corrections. If a figure, date or rule on this site disagrees with GOV.UK, Ofgem or HMRC, tell us which page and which source. We check every report and correct errors; the official source always wins.
- Suggestions. A question the guides do not answer, or a term missing from the glossary.
- Quotes. Passing your enquiry to installers, as above. What happens next is set out under the form.
What we cannot help with
We are an independent guide, so we cannot see or change a Boiler Upgrade Scheme application, confirm a voucher, or tell you why Ofgem made a decision. For those, the routes are:
- Your application or voucher: your installer first — they applied and they can request a review. Ofgem’s scheme team can be contacted through Ofgem’s Boiler Upgrade Scheme page.
- A problem with an installation: the installer, then their consumer code — see consumer codes and complaints.
- Checking an installer: the MCS installer search.
- Scotland: Home Energy Scotland, which runs its own grant and loan.
Before you write: three quick answers
“I have not had Ofgem’s consent email.”
Check your spam folder first. The email goes to the address your installer gave Ofgem, so if it has not arrived, ask the installer to confirm the address they used and whether the application has been submitted. You normally have 14 days from the email to respond, or 28 days on Ofgem’s assisted telephone or postal route.
“My quote does not show the grant.”
It should. Ofgem’s guidance says the quote must show the grant value and the balance you pay, and the installer must deduct it upfront. Ask the installer for a corrected quote; if that does not resolve it, Ofgem asks homeowners to contact its scheme enquiries team.
“Is this the official government website?”
No. The official pages are on GOV.UK and Ofgem’s website, and we link to them throughout. This is an independent guide that explains them in more depth, dates every figure, and — only if you ask — passes enquiries to installers.
If you are writing about a correction
Please include the page address, the sentence you think is wrong, and a link to the official source that says otherwise. A correction message is used only to check and reply to your point — it is not passed to installers unless you also ask for quotes. Pages that change after a report show the new date in their “figures checked” line.

We do not install, sell or survey anything and we do not take phone calls. We are not a government department, Ofgem or a scheme administrator. More about this site.
Send us a message or an enquiry
Tell us a little about the property. We pass your enquiry to independent heat pump installers covering your postcode; they contact you directly, check your eligibility and, if you go ahead with an MCS-certified installer, they apply for the grant on your behalf. Check any installer on the MCS register before you sign. There is no charge to you for this.
What happens next
- We read your enquiry and check which kind of firm can help.
- We pass it to relevant independent firms that cover your postcode.
- They contact you with questions or a quote. You compare, and decide — with no obligation to go ahead.
